Who We Are Debbie Kaplan - SVP, Managing Director, Research Services Debbie manages one of DJG’s largest businesses – serving as the outsourced Research Department for nearly three dozen small-to-medium-sized publishers. Additionally, with Steve Douglas, she leads the firm’s Audience Prototyping practice. Deb is an expert on all on-line computer services as well as all the syndicated research services for the print and internet industries. Her strengths include organization, creating compelling sales strategies and stories, as well as directing research and marketing operations. Debbie has 25+ years experience in magazine research and marketing. Prior to joining DJG Marketing in 1995, she was VP/Marketing & Research at Financial World Magazine. There she established the Research Department and created their first desktop environment. She developed the media and marketing research data for the sales side and had a major involvement in strategic planning on the business side. Previously, she was the Director of Research at Institutional Investor Magazine. Debbie spent 13 years in magazine research at Scientific American as Research Manager. She is a graduate of Baruch College with a major in Market Research.
